I've been working hard the last two days to add the Premium Membership option... and I think we are all set!
You can upgrade your account by going to "My Account" and clicking the upgrade option next to your membership status.
Current cost is $9.99 for a full year... it will allow you to have up to 500 images in your gallery and banner ads on the top of the blog pages will not appear. More benefits may come in the future.
Let me know if you have any problems!

It took a bit for the Paypal page to open, but I have dial-up so that may be why. After that it all went very smoothly and I am now a premium member. I love the look of the pages without that ad at the top.
Sherry
WOO HOO
I am now a preimum member *smiles*
Feel like the image storage space is excellent my friend...
So happy you have went to paid subscription option...
Kindest Regards,
* Paypal is suppose to accept eChecks or Bank payments through that page, although it seems to say "where available" and does not offer that option to me. I will have to look into that.
* You can join paypal directly, which lets you link in your bank account, then pay for the premium membership using your paypal account.
* You can ask a friend to pay the membership fee for you using their credit card, and then pay them the money back by cash or check.
* You can mail in a check or money order and we can process it directly, I dont have information on how to do that yet, but will add it shortly.

One can use Pay Pal with e-check which will require verification...
Check routing numbers etc will be required, then they will take less than $1.00 from your Bank Account to make certain it is an active account, it's a way of verification...
The check route used to take a few days, I have been with Pay Pal myself since 1999 when it was X-Com, then became Pay Pal, before it was bought out by eBay so I am not sure how they work the check part nowdays BUT thought I would share...
OR
You can use any Debit/Bank/ATM Card as well, it is not difficult, a one time set up, no charges to *buyer/consumer* to set up or use.
I use Pay Pal all the time, it's a great service, quite secure as well...
Pioneer, the banner free is really quite nice, I'm loving it, initally as stated I just wanted the picture storage but now I do NOT miss the banners lol
I forgot to ask. Will blogstream accept a direct payment with a prepaid debit card? just wondering. Trying to figure out the fastest way for me to get the premium account. thank you. Scratch.

I want to join, my question is this? how long do we have to join up, as i have a very tight budget and my checks get direct deposited, so it will be a few weeks until i could pay by debit/credit card. Those who don't join will they get kicked off? And lastly, if you are not a premium member can you still browse/blog or will it be limited?
I love the stream and don't want to loose it.

Junebug
As mentioned in the earlier news message and on the join info page -- nothing is changing... the site is still free. Becoming a premium member just gets you extra features such as a larger image gallery and no advertisements.

Please try logging out and logging back in... your computer may be keeping an old login which does not know about your premium upgrade.
I would like to sign up but, I too, have
no credit cards, and don't want anything to
do with paypal.
I'll need an address to send the money to.
Call me old fashioned, but I don't trust
cyber space yet!
Joe
Thanks for your help and have a very happy new year 2007.

I have another request for the suggestion box ... How about spicing up the front page with pictures from bloggers? We could submit them to you and you could do a slide show of 10-12 of them, change it every month?
Yeah ... I'd submit a few myself, which is why I'm asking ... but YOU'D do the picking! If you haven't already, check out some of Jonnie/DebyD's, Kelly's or River Rat's stuff! You can swing by my place too if you want but I am not as good as those three are.
Hugggggggggggggz (I hug everybody),

I can't change the back ground of my blog, the color, or post links. What gives?
Help! Heide
I sent my renewed membership - Did you receive it? As it still states on my account that I am ready to expire... Please check
Merry Christmas to you and yours
Hoping you're still with us - in the sense of being alive, not in the sense of actually being with us, because obviously you're not. But I'll tell you why I gave up on Blogstream, very quickly, and would not be interested in any premium membership.
Missing functionality. One doesn't have the freedom to set up any links on the sidebar of one's blog, other than to the main page of another blogstream blog. This keeps me off of any blogrolls with any blogs not hosted here, and kills any possibility of installing a "return to your ring" link or "return to the homepage for this blog" link by any means other than that of continually entering those links in each and every post.
That's a lot of work to ask the user to do, just so that the owner of the service can be unreasonable. Much of your competition (eg. Blogger) is willing to do better by its users than that, and we deserve it, so goodbye.
